Wednesday, October 25, 2017 (Day 4)

ELA 9B

The students read for ten minutes.  We then discussed the inverted pyramid method for writing a news article.  Students had time to complete a jot note planning sheet for  a news article they will be writing on the story "On the Sidewalk Bleeding"  by Evan Hunter.  In their article they need to answers the 5 W's and How and include 3 quotes from characters in the story.  The students will have time to write their article rough drafts tomorrow.

FRENCH 8B

Three students were in the Chaise Chaud.  Then the students wrote their avoir/etre quiz.  We also introduced ER verbs and started to use them to describe what people in class are wearing.

COMPUTERS 8

The students had some final class time to work on their Scratch Maze Games.  They are now to be completed on their own time.  We also discussed how to remove or scrub on-line information.  We discussed the following article and are preparing to Google ourselves next class.

ELA 9A

The students read for twenty minutes today.  We then discussed the questions about the story "On the Sidewalk Bleeding."  We then discussed the inverted pyramid method for writing a news article.  Students had time to complete a jot note planning sheet for  a news article they will be writing on the story "On the Sidewalk Bleeding"  by Evan Hunter.  The outline and rubric can be found on Google Classroom.  In their article they need to answers the 5 W's and How and include 3 quotes from characters in the story.  As we had a double class today the students had time to write their article rough drafts.  We will start editing tomorrow.
