ELA 9A
The students read for ten minutes. They then had time to do a final "quiz" on our poetry unit. This involved annotating a new poem and then answering questions about it. The students also had time to sign out a copy of our novel "The Outsiders" and start working on an introduction sheet. Anyone who did not finish typing and printing out a final draft of their news article needs to get it into me (along with their planning sheet, rubric, and rough draft) by the end of today or it is overdue.
COMPUTERS 8
The students discussed what they found when searching themselves and an adult family member on four different search engines. They then watched a video about making an Old Spice commercial and discussed the planning, shooting and editing needed to make a commercial.
FRENCH 7B
Three students were in the Chaise Chaud. Then we reviewed AVOIR for their quiz on Wednesday. Next we explored using a French/English dictionary and the students started to find 6 french words to complete the sentence: J'ai ___ ___________. (Example: J'ai un chien. (I have a dog.)
ELA 9B
The students had time to type out the good copy of their news article about the story "On the Sidewalk Bleeding." Some also had time to finish their Reading Check-In.
If anyone did not get done during class time this is now homework and will be due by the end of Tuesday. Turn in on Google and print a copy for Miss Riddell and hand in with your planning sheet, rubric and rough copy.
*Tomorrow is Halloween. Costume Parade at lunch.
