ELA 9A
The students read for 10 minutes. Then did a quick self assessment on Identity. We reviewed the story plot diagram. You can see a review of the story arc on Google Classroom. Then we read "On the Sidewalk Bleeding" by Evan Hunter. Here is a link to a PDF copy if you were absent: LINK
FRENCH 7A
Three students were in the Chaise Chaud and we had our AVOIR quiz. Emma, Owen and Ryder will need to see me at noon on Tuesday to make up this quiz. The students also finished using their dictionaries to find the correct spellings for 6 items they have. They should have 6 sentences written for next class.
Example: J'ai un chat. (I have a cat.) or J'ai trois chats. (I have 3 cats.) or J'ai des lunettes. (I have some glasses.)
We also introduced the verb ÊTRE (to be)
Je suis (I am) Nous sommes (We are)
Tu es (You(s) are) Vous êtes (You (pl) are)
Il est (He is) Ils sont (They (m) are)
Elle est (She is) Elles sont (They (f) are)
On est (One is)

This was a double class so the students also had time to work on questions about the story (1-7 & 9). We also had time to correct.
