Friday, October 27, 2017 (Day 6)

ELA 9B

The students read for 10 minutes.  Then they had time to edit the rough draft of their news article about the events in the story "On the Sidewalk Bleeding."  Students used the Editing Workshop sheet which can be found on Google Classroom to edit with 2 other students.  On Monday they will have time to type out a good copy of their article so their rough draft must be done for Monday. Their good copy will be due by the end of the day on Tuesday.

FRENCH 7A

Three students were in the Chaise Chaud.  Then the students created posters in PicCollage on the iPads using the six words they researched in the dictionary last class.  Each poster needs six sentences (example:  J'ai un chien.), six pictures (one to go with each sentence), and their name. They then need to e-mail their poster to me.  We'll have a short bit of time to finish next class but make sure you have all your sentences ready to go.
***Ryder, Emma and Owen still need to write their AVOIR quizzes from last week.  Please come Tuesday at lunch to do this.

COMPUTERS 8

The students did some research on digital footprints by using four search engines to search their names (or user names) and see what they could find about themselves.  They also searched a parent or another adult's name to see what they could discover about them.

ELA 9A

The students read for ten minutes.  Then they had time to type out the good copy of their news article about the story "On the Sidewalk Bleeding."  Most also had time to finish their Reading Check-In.
If anyone did not get done during class time this is now homework and will be due by the end of Monday.  Turn in on Google and print a copy for Miss Riddell and hand in with your planning sheet, rubric and rough copy.

REMEMBER: Fruit Sale goes until next Thursday and each student should be selling a minimum of 5 items. *Monday is PJ Day and Fear Factor at Lunch.
