ELA 7C
Today we watched a tour of the trenches, tunnels, and memorial
at Vimy Ridge with other students from across Canada. Then we went for a walk in the sunshine
before discussing the video and what we know about the First and Second World
Wars. We will be starting work on a Remembrance
Day poem or essay for the Legion’s annual competition. If you were absent you can watch this video
to learn about Vimy Ridge and its importance to Canadians.

Today we finished reading Chapter 22 of “The Hill” and then
we did the questions and discussed them.
Next, we did the Making it Personal section, which involved writing a
paragraph about a place we would like to visit.
What we’d like to see and do once there.
After a break we did the vocabulary for chapter 23 and then read the
chapter. We answered the questions and
did the Making it Personal, which involved deciding on what we’d eat if we had
a last meal. We had a second break and
then finished up Chapter 24 vocab, reading, and questions. All information is posted on Google Classroom.
