Today we finished up our Orange Shirt Day project by:

a) completing a puzzle piece

b) writing a paragraph in our Journals on what Orange Shirt Day means to me

Then we read the article :Nessie - Nasty or Nice?" aloud and discussed.  There is a recording on Google Classroom if you were absent.

Finally we started our new section of Note Taking in our Mysteries Notebook.

We put in a heading:  NESSIE - NASTY or NICE? and the date and then the sub-heading Vocabulary.

Students used www.dictionary.com to find the definitions for the vocabulary words and recorded them as notes after we did the first three together.

We stared by refreshing our memory of Chapter 15.  The students answered the chapter questions and we discussed the answers.  We also learned about synonyms before having a break.

Next we did the Making it Personal for chapter 15 and then did the vocabulary and read chapter 16.  We also answered the chapter questions.
