Wednesday, November 13, 2019 (Day 6)

COMPUTERS 7 Blue

The students started graphing out their names or initals (3 letters minimum) using (x,y) coordinates.  We will be using the pen feature in Scratch to program their names using these coordinates next class.  If you were absent see Miss Riddell for the necessary sheet and further instructions.  We also watched the video below:

ELA 8A

The students read for ten silently.  Then they presented on the terms they researched yesterday:  prejudice, anti-Semitic, discrimination, bigotry, racism, extremist, Islamophobia.
We watched the video below and signed out our novels "Bifocal."
Thursday at lunch the following students should be in my room, with their lunches, to watch the video they missed last Friday, and finish the video analysis:  Jack, Davika, Morgan, Madison, and Christian

SENIOR FRENCH

Today we discussed the article by Simone and did some more Passé Composé vs Imparfait practice.  Summative test on reading and past tenses tomorrow.

ELA 9A & 9B

The students read silently and signed our their copies of "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton.  They had time to complete their news article about the story "On the Sidewalk Bleeding."  Students need to hand in:
a) their planning sheet
b) their rough draft
c) their editing sheet
d) their good copy.
It was due to today and is now overdue.
Some students had time to work on other homework or read if they were done.  If you were absent please get your news article done and sign out "The Outsiders."
