Tuesday, November 12, 2019 (Day 5)

COMPUTER 7 Blue

Today the students started to work with SCRATCH a coding site created by MIT.  We watched an introductory video and then the students signed up for an account and re-created the program in the video.

ELA 9A & 9B

The students read silently for ten minutes.  They then worked in partners to edit their rough draft.  They then made any edits and printed out their good copy.  The planning sheet, rough draft, editing sheet, and good copy need to be handed in by the end of class tomorrow.

SENIOR FRENCH

The students worked on a sheet deciding when to use Imparfait vs Passé Composé, which we corrected (Exercise L).  Make sure to get it corrected before our test on Thursday.  We also started to read the article by Simone the cat, please be ready to correct tomorrow.


ELA 8A

The students read for ten minutes silently.  Then we did an introductory vocabulary/idea activity for our upcoming novel study.  If you were absent check out the KWL chart on Google Classroom.  The students then worked in groups to define, research facts, find examples, and non-examples for:
Prejudice, Bigotry, Racism, Anti-Semitic, Islamophobia, Extremist, Discrimination
We'll see what was discovered tomorrow.

Student Led Conferences are from 4:30-7:30 Wednesday and Thursday this week.  Mr. Soloski will be doing a Driver's Ed presentation at 6:45 in the library Wednesday only.
