Thursday, November 8, 2018 (Day 3)

SENIOR FRENCH

The students had a chance to look over their Past Tense exams.  Then we finished discussing Simone the Cat's story from yesterday and the students read and discussed Ghandi the Dog's story about a hockey game in Korea.

CAREERS 8B

The students discussed the term well-being, which is the state of being happy, healthy, and prosperous.  The students brainstormed basic needs such as:  food, water, shelter, clothing, health care, education, feelings of belonging.  Then the students did a jigsaw activity where they recorded how different roles and activities effected their Emotional, Mental, Physical, and Economic Well-being.  Then we discussed as a whole group.

ELA 9A & 9B

The students read for ten minutes.  Then we did an introduction and started to read "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton.

FRENCH 8A

The students finished typing their pen pal letters.  They also decorated envelopes for them.  If they did not already bring a small, flat item to enclose please do that by Tuesday next week.

*Remember tomorrow is Formal Day.  Wear your poppy!
