Monday, April 1, 2019 (Day 3)

FRENCH 8A

Three students were in the Chaise Chaud for our new theme on Seasons.  The students completed the sentences for the RE verb sheet.  Then we logged onto e-pals and the students started to answer the letters they received (in e-mail form).  We'll finish up next class.

ELA 9A & 9B

The students read for ten minutes.  Then they practiced their Music Festival poems, from memory today.  Next we finished watching the Zeffirelli version or Act IV & V of Romeo and Juliet and started watching the Luhrmann version.

SOCIAL 7B

Today we did a jigsaw activity to look at various people who agree and disagree with opening the Northwest Passage through the Arctic.  The students then decided on their personal stand and wrote it down.  Next the students brainstormed pros and cons to humans interacting with the natural environment through farming, mining, hunting, fishing and other activities. As a group they came up with a great list.  Finally we started to discuss the benefits and risks associated with using nuclear power.
