Monday, February 4, 2019 (Day 5)

ELA 9A & 9B

The students read for ten minutes.  Then we read the Prologue and started reading Act 1 of "Romeo and Juliet."

FRENCH 8A

Two students were in the Chaise Chaud.  We continued to practice clothing terms and sentences with a crossword and a writing activity, which described Homer and Marge Simpson.  Please complete and hand this in if you were absent.

SOCIAL 7B

The students signed out their textbooks, corrected a Google Earth activity with Mr.Melnyk.  Then they started to design a map of their own island.

WARRIOR TIME

Today we discussed money.  The attached link takes you to the power point we went through.  We finished with some math converting euros to Canadian dollars.

CAREERS 8A

The students finished up their profiles and picked out a possible job based on what they had discovered about themselves.  The students then did an evaluation of how important various values are to them (example:  beauty, compassion, money, family, adventure, and so on).  The students learned that values don't usually change so they should keep in mind their top five when thinking of a future job.  Lastly, the students started to predict (using:  where what, how, who, and why) their lives in ten years.  We'll finish this up next class and choose a job to research and present.
