*Monday is a PD Day so NO SCHOOL for students.

ELA 9A

The students helped co-create a rubric for their Book Trailers after searching for examples of better and poorer book trailers.  They then used the rubric to evaluate some Book Trailers.  Now the students have chosen a book and are storyboarding their Book Trailer.  They had 2 work periods today and should be able to finish up storyboarding tomorrow.  I still need the final Romeo and Juliet news articles from Wyatt, Dawson J., and Tyson by 3:30 tomorrow, which is over a week past the original due date.

ELA 9B

The students wrote their Romeo and Juliet exam.  I am missing the final Romeo and Juliet news article from Issam, Kaitlyn, Presli, and Jairo.  Please get them done for tomorrow as they are now a week overdue.  This class also has examined Book Trailers and is in the process of creating a rubric and choosing a book for their own Book Trailer.

French 8A

This class wrote their avoir passé composé test today and will begin to learn about the Dr. & Mrs. Vandertamp verbs using être next class.

French 8B

These students are using the Dr. & Mrs. Vandertramp verbs and être to form the passé composé.

French 7A

Conjugating "er" verbs is our focus at the moment.  Once we practice a bit more we will be moving to a project involving using "er" verbs to describe friends. Please have the aimer/adorer sheet finished for tomorrow.

French 7B

The students should be done their monster posters on PicCollage and have e-mailed them to me. They should be ready to present them next class.

French 9A

The students have been practicing bedroom vocabulary and are starting to plan their dream rooms.  Today they watched a video and did some before, during and after activities.

French 9B

Students had notes on position words and practiced using them in sentences.

French 10/20/30

Students have been discussing food and meals.  Today and tomorrow they are presenting short restaurant skits using the vocabulary we've been working with in class.

*Mrs. Therese Robertson subbed for me Tuesday and Wednesday when I was away at an iSITs meeting and WeDay.

*Congratulations to the grade 9's for putting on Musical Chairs today to raise money for TeleMiracle.  It was a fun event. :)
